MNEK is stepping back into the center of his own music with BULLDOZER!!, his first full-length album since 2018’s Language. Speaking about the project, the singer, songwriter and producer described a creative period shaped less by chart expectations and more by personal expression.
Discussing the sound and themes behind the album, MNEK pointed to influences from house, garage, two-step, grime and ballroom. The record also explores confidence, body image, relationships and gender expression, reflecting changes in his life as he moved into his 30s.
Over the years, MNEK has remained highly active behind the scenes, writing and producing for artists including Beyoncé, Dua Lipa, Little Mix, FLO and Zara Larsson. His work with Larsson has become one of his most visible recent collaborations, continuing a creative partnership that blends polished pop with strong vocal production.
With BULLDOZER!!, MNEK is placing his own voice back at the forefront. The project shows an artist balancing years of industry experience with a more personal, self-directed approach to making music.
